Grug is a wild-faced figure, with a large, bulky frame. His pitch-black hair is long and unkempt, cascading down to his bushy beard, which is adorned by a matching moustache. His eyes are beady and surrounded by a rugged, primitive face. He is dressed in nothing but a rough, earth-toned loincloth and animal skins, and carries a crude club made of wood and stone. He looks as though he has stepped out of the pages of prehistory.
To color Grug, use warm, rustic tones in earthy browns and reds to capture his primal look. Paint the animal skins in dulled green, yellow and grey to make them look aged. For his hair, beard and moustache, use a dark brown or black. His loincloth can be shaded in a sienna tone with tinges of orange and yellow for a worn and weathered look.
