To color this image, I would start by making the tree and house dark brown or black. The people should have bright and cheerful colors, such as a bright red shirt for one man, a green dress for the woman, and the other two in brown clothes. The raincloud could be a deep and dark shade of grey and the rain a lighter tone of grey. The sky surrounding the scene should be a light sky blue to give the painting an uplifting atmosphere. Finally, my favorite part - the ground! I would use a light green to give the painting a hint of life and warmth.
