Mercury is the smallest and closest to the sun with no atmosphere and is very hot, while Venus is the brightest object in the night sky and has a thick atmosphere. Earth is the only planet with life, boasting one moon, while Mars is the red planet, with two moons. Jupiter is the largest planet and has four large moons, Saturn has beautiful rings, Uranus is tipped on its side, and has 27 moons, Neptune is very cold, and Pluto is very small but has 5 moons.
When coloring this page, I suggest using bright but earthy tones to reflect the beauty of the solar system. The sun can be colored in warm oranges, reds and yellows; the planets can be represented in blues, greens and browns, respectively; and the moons can be colored in shades of whites and silver to symbolize their mysterious nature.
