For the main part of the rooster, I would use a variety of orange, yellow and brown tones to illustrate his feathers. For his comb and crown I'd choose a darker shade of red and orange to really make them stand out, and for his talons I'd use a variety of browns and tans. His beak could be highlighted with a bright yellow or red, and his piercing eyes could be illuminated by a bright green or blue. The farm fence could be captured in beautiful greens and browns to create a realistic palette. Finally, I would add a few smatterings of white to give it an extra touch of realism and charm.
